Ronald K. Jefcoat was hired as a manager of TJ's Western and Work Ware back in August, 1994. He and the owners daughter, Tina Jefocat, started dating soon after he started working there and later married. Ronald Jefcoat was trusted to run the family business (which is in the wife's mothers name, Jean Holder) and was trusted at this job for almost 14 years.
All through the years Ronald told Jean and Tina that business was not very good and conned Jean Holder into letting him borrow money for the business against the building in which she also owns.in Jean and Tina got suspecious about some things and decided to check the books at the business and found that Ronald Jefcoat had been embezzling close to $300,000 a year from the business for his own personal use.
The business was doing over a million dollars a year and yet Ronald Jefcoat had the business owing $150,000 in bank loans and $100,0000 in his own personal loans thru the business. His bank accounts show him to have deposited over $100,000 in his personal checking account in which Tina Jefcoat never had access to, within just 3 months in 2006. Jan, feb, and march. When confronted about all of this he went back into the store and took all the cash x out reports so that nobody could see all the cash he had stolen and he also took the credit card reports.
Tina Jefcoat also found out that Ronald Jefcoat was recieving refund checks from their insurance on her medications she paid for every month out of her own money and he had told her that insurance did not cover those costs. He was taking that $350 and depositing it into his personal checking account as well. Since being seperated Ronald Jefcoats financial statements show him having over 600,000 in personal bank accounts, IRAs, CDs, Mutual Funds and other investments in which he is claiming is "inheritance" that he will recieve once his mother dies.
He is also opening himself a new western store "Boot Country" about 300 yards from TJs Western Ware to try to put them out of business. This man is a con artist that has many people fooled. He needs to repay the money he owes TJs Western Ware!!! People do not be fooled by this man, he will rip you off in a heartbeat as he did this innocent mother and daughter.
