I met Phillip Benson on-line, After exchanging several get to know each other type emails, He asked for a photo and phone number from me saying that he wanted to be able to call me and talk and wanted to see a photo so he could see what I looked like, I emailed this information to him. He sent back an email telling me how pretty I was and started calling me several times a day after a few weeks he begin proclaiming his love for me and asking me to marry him. I did agree to marry him after we have a chance to meet and get to know each other by dating. This is the point he starting asking me personal information like did I have a bank I used. Did I ever mention him to family or friends? As well as about other personal things about me? Each time he would call me on my cell phone he demanded to know where was I, who was with me, What was I doing and why? He always said it was because he was in love with me and concerned for me. I explained to him numerous times I am broke and on a fixed income so he said not to worry he would send me some money. This is where things begin to get really wild because he told me that he had his boss/partner send me some money just for me. He gave me a name and even told me which Western Union to pick it up at claiming he had secured me a personal loan. I was happy to be able to have a decent size loan given to me. At this point, He asked me since he got me the loan and we were to be together would I please send him some so he could pack his belongings and be able to move here to be with me. When I decided yes I would like to let him have some of the loan granted to me so he could move here to be near me and with me I discovered he had a rather large file with FBI, and other agencies for scamming people.in my case he used the Marriage, Money scam. I can't believe I fell for his lines and smooth talk. Now all I have is alot of emails sent to me, and a broken hear and legal problems because of him. I am not even sure at this point if the pictures I have are really him, or who he really is. I know my life is in shambles and I am heartbroken because of this. He works by gaining trust then he is able to once gaining your trust start his actual scam. The FBI tells me there are over 900 variations of the Nigerian Money marriage. And this Phillip Benson used several in his approach to me. I have had to go as far as changing my cell-phone service and I will be having the added expense of moving somewhere else after I am through with all the legal problems are over that believeing this guy has cost me. Not much at all just EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE!!!
I really hope this guy is caught and a stopped soon because what he is doing and has already done Distroys Lives.
