APX Alarm Company APX cannot be trusted to secure customers information Provo Utah

After being called by Anderson Crenshaw Collections 4 times, I started doing some research - apparently a person in North Carolina somehow was turned down for an APX Alarm system and within a week later, used my social security number and as you might know, never paid for the service so the collection agency has been harrassing me, yelling and using profane language when I tell them that I don't know the person, never been to North Carolina and sure don't own property there. I then immediately call APX and ask them if my account is past due and "No you've have never been late or past due" - after the 4 collection call, I finally got a customer service rep at APX that did some investigating and I got my facts. Then I wanted to speak to a Supervisor or Manager and you would have thought I was asking to speak to the guy upstairs but after I told customer service I would call the company president, I got to speak with a Supervisor and duh - when he checked my original contract and the fraudelent one, gee whiz, the signature in no way matched. So I have spent over 25 hours making Police reports for fraud, contacting all the Credit Bureau, requesting Fraud Watches on activity, calling creditors, banks, etc. To protect myself because APX compromised my personal information. They pride themselves in Security but I would call it "Security-less". I should have known when the sales person misrepresented the facts and the security system wasn't working the next day that I'd been taken. I would be very interested in a class action suit!
