Well, I think I have the best one yet! I am selling my car and was aware that there were 2 previous accidents. I decided to get a Carfax in order to see what was reported. Upon reading the report, it did reflect the 2 accidents that I new of but I was shocked to see that it reported them both as "Total Vehicle Loss". First of all, how can the same vehicle be reported as a Total Vehicle Loss on 2 occasions!!??
My car is being advertised and I am getting phone calls already from people that are asking prior to purchasing the car, if I would provide them with the VIN in order to get a Carfax.
I need to sell this car immediately due to financial reasons and the car is a Mustang Convertible in mint condition. I am selling it for a very reasonable price and know it will sell fast. Bottom line is i'm screwed.
I sent them an email and they responded telling me I have to fill out a form along with my documentation of proof.
I don't feel I should have to do this. I want to know where they got that information because I will get my Laywer to sue their asses!
I really think after reading other complaints that we should get together and bring this issue to the public media. I know I am going to. If there is anyone else out there that wants to join me, please let me know.
