My wife and I responded to an offer to view property in Horshoe Bay outside Marble Falls, Texas. Part of the offer was "$50 worth of free gas". This turned out to be a mail fraud scheme from AM Eagle, Ltd of Granbury, Texas.
I have mailed off 4 of their "coupons" with the charge slip from the pump and a self addressed stamped return envelope. They claim they never received the first one. The 2nd one was sent on October 7. Their material claims it takes 4 to 6 weeks for you to get your $ 9.28 back ($ 10.00 minus two stamps.
I have waited 15 weeks-no refund. My 3rd one was mailed November 5th. After 11 weeks I have no refund from that one either. I believe that I will never get a refund. Since all their materials are deliverd by the US mail, I plan to take this to the Post office and see if the postal inspectors will get involved.
