Sold me a defective SC 50 scoote

Baja motorsports sold me (through Pep Boys) a defective SC 50 scooter in October. Pep Boys wouldn't refund it, Baja Motorsports wouldn't refund it, and their so called warranty wasn't a very good one. It didnt' cover the body panels, which split and fell off after abotu a week or so of light riding. I didnt' fall or hit anything. The panels were just not made to fit properly togethr, and they broke apart. The Vin plate cover broke too, or rather it was broken when I bought it and I didn't find out til I got home.

Not long after I bought it, The throttle cable broke. THey fixed that, but I had to pay to have the scooter picked up and broght back. THey have NOT fixed the safety switch on the kickstand that makes teh scooter shut off when you puut the kick stand down. That stopped working in december as well. Mind you I bought the scooter in October and had only had it 2 months.

The horn quit working too, and that hasn't been fixed. A couple of weeks ago, around the 5th of august, the throttle cable broke again. AGAIN I have to pay to have the scooter picked up and delivered. Also the year warranty I was told was required that I buy? Doesn't cover LABOR!

ANd, a few months ago, teh scooter started getting sluggish, getting slow, and wouldnt' pick up speed or even get above 20 mph. I found out, their idea opf emission control is to rounte the outgoing exhaust back through the engine somehow, and that causes a lack of oxygen so the engine doesn't fire as it should...

I have contacted Baja countless times, and either been ignored or told it'snot their problem...

Oh and on their website? They word it such that you THINK the products aremade in the USA< but they are actually made in China.

Also, the tax office can't give me a tag, because the paperwork is wrong./ Baja keeps sending me the wrong paperwork. I need the paperwork with a federal odometer statement, and they keep sending me something that the tax folks say is wrong.

ALso, the key broke off in the seat lock. It wasnt' stuck. It was fine, I'd kept the locks well oiled. But the key broke off anyway. THe keys are even made cheap!

All in all this product is dangerously defective (the body panels faling off almost made me wreck), and Baja Motorsports is uncommunicative, or else they are rude and accusatory when you try to get them to help you with a problem you're having with one of their products.

I believe they have set out to deceive the American consumers, first by putting a defective line of products on the market, and secondly by lullnig consumers into buying the products thinking they are designed and made in America, and thirdly by having warranties that don't cover the bikes in toto, and that they don't usually honor anyway.

I bought this scooter as transportation, not as recreation. I am a very poor person financially. I will be paying for this for years to come, and it's ust not right they should get away with cheating people in such a manner!
