Eceived a letter that starts out with presorted firt-class U.S. Postage paid Las Legas, NV Permit # 1748 on the envelope:
On behalf of the Harrison Group, and with the full approval of the Board of Trustees, it is today my priveledge to announce that "name inserted" has been named as reciepient of a valuable Golden Achievement Award.
My name is Hamilton Scott, Executive Awards Director of the Group, and in the years I assumed stewardship of the Harrison Group, it hs been my pleasure to bring this exciting news to thousands of worthy reciepents like yourself.
Blah. Blah. Blah... It goes on to state that this award is in escrow and for a nominal $25 fee by check, cash or money order payable to the Harrison Group to cover administrative costs of notification and preparing "my Award".
I researched this "group" only to find that a year ago they were calling themselves "The Monte Carlo Foundation", with the same address listed, requesting the same thing, $25 for administrative costs, etc., for the same "Golden Achievement Award".
Mailed from Las Vegas, Name change within a year, asking for funds for a so-called bestowed gift... You do the math.
