My time share was a 30 year paid up front. I purchased it in 1995 and never used it to date. It was purchased cash up front for retirement. I paid my annual dues every year on time. I called the company to ask a question pertaining to my timeshare and was told my membership had been cancelled in 2006 due to non payment of "Special Assessments". I never received any notice of any special assessment. The "Special Assessment" was more than my annual dues and was due in 2006. Since I was unaware of this assessment I continued to pay my annual dues. When my 2007 dues bill was paid AVR took that money, applied it toward my "Special Assessment" and cancelled my membership due to non payment of annual dues.
I never did receive any notice. Good thing I found out about this otherwise I would continue paying my annual dues to a Good For Nothing Rip Off Company!
