I receieved a check today in the mail for $4,250. The letter said congratulations!!! You are one of the lucky winners of a multi-national sweeptakes. The letter goes on to report that I have won $180,000 in US Dollars, and that this check was part of the winnings due, and if I called Ray at 1-905-616-1420, he would give me additional instructions on how to proceed with these funds, including paying the taxes on the money.
I'm a professional researchers, so after showing my wife the letter, I got down to my research, after about an hour I had my answers on this check. I found a fraud warning from a young women from Hawaii, who did what the letter stated and now she is out several thousands of dollars. I started my research by searching Ottawa area business counsels, and discovered that the address was on the side of a rail road track in Ottawa. Next, I researched the name of the company that the check was drew from, and the company is a legal business from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The phoned the business, Gassafy Greenhouse, Inc, I found their phone number and left a voice mail to have someone call me during regular business hours. Now, I called this number that was listed, and a man by the name of "Ray" answered, I told him of my research, and that he was caught in a fraud, and that I was reporting him to the AG's office in New York State, the Federal Bureau of Invesgation in DC, the Postal Service and Wells Fargo Bank in Indiana.
Furthermore, I told him what he was doing was illegal, and that I was reporting him to the local press in New York City, as well as the New York City Police department. It would be nice to see these people put away for mail fraud and taking advantage of people who really need help in these difficult times.
