Beware and steer clear of this cheating company. They doubled and than more than tripled the quote which they assured me was a binding contract, then held my stuff in ransom for cash, demanded immediate payment of inflated prices (first doubled, then tripled) through Western Union to an unidentified individual, threatened to double the charge if the van is turned back, and kept changing the date of arrival. They make threatening phone calls to say they will turn the truck back if you don't pay up within 1 hour and incur double the charges. If you choose they speedy service, they know they have you twirling in their fingers. Once you goods are loaded, they will increase their prices for extra boxes or claims of excess per cubic footage, or best still, "long distance carrier" which is the distance from they move from the elevator to your apartment ($300). They will hook you on many promises, such as a speedy delivery but they will then jack up the prices and someone will call to you have "10 minutes" whether you want to pay them within the hour or they will turn the truck around. They have a team of scam artists on the phone (all women apparently) and men who work on the ground. If you are foolish to go with them, engage a lawyer, read all the fineprints, and be an expert in the industry before you sign any papers with them. They will make your life a nightmare while holding your things hostage. Once you pay them everything they demanded in cash or through Western Union, they will dump your goods without giving you a fair chance to examine for breakage. They will not unpack for you even if you have an agreement. Make sure you have everything you want in writing. I showed them broken furniture and they go "I don't see what is broken." They are untruthful, deceitful, and manipulative. They even refused to give me an original receipt - i had to xerox one myself at my insistence. My life was a living nightmare for the days I worked with Special Movers Inc. Save yourself the trauma folks.
