United Family Circulation aka Ultimate Power Sales Ripoff! Be glad you cancelled payment! My experience follows: tricked & lied to us victimized many other consumers

For those of you who stopped payment, be glad that you did! My experience follows:

My wife and I happened to catch a short segment on this very scam on the 10:00 news tonight. The news reported that this scam was being pulled by some kids in Hall county, Georgia. Imagine our surprise when we the details of the scam were local kids claiming that they were selling magazine subscriptions to send their school soccer team to London, England to play in a championship game. They were even taking checks for payment and requesting that the checks be made out to U.F.C. (United Family Circulation). For reference, my wife and I live in another county in Georgia, nearly 50 miles away from Hall County.

Three months ago, we were approached by a young kid with this EXACT story. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that we fell for the scam. As someone else mentioned above, the subscriptions were overpriced but I was willing to pay the extra money to help out a local kid.

Furthermore, I would like to offer this to Ms. Pallicer:
You claim that United Power Sales does not encourage your sales representatives to lie or falsify information to the prospective customer in an effort to secure sales. Such behavior is not tolerated at United Power Sales?

Then please explain to me how on these pages alone we have accounts of kids in multiple counties in Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, and multiple locales in California using the EXACT same story (i.E., their soccer team needs the money to attend a championship match). Considering the multitude of locations, it is only common sense that this story is being generated from a common source. That is, they are being taught these tactics by employees at your firm.

You may wish to claim otherwise, but please note the following:
My wife and I (as well as the other people on this board) had the misfortune of falling for your scam as a result of the kindness in our hearts. But please dont insult our intelligence any further by making claims that your company does not endorse, encourage, and reward these kids for engaging in deceptive business practices.
