I, too, was a victem of GNS, Inc concerning their weight loss product, "Slim Seduction." I ordered the bottle on a trial basis at the beginning of the year with the hopes of losing the weight they claimed I could easily and quickly. Shortly after receiving the sample bottle, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo further tests before having my surgery. I recovered at one of my son's home afterwards and didn't have access to a computer so as to cancel any and all future orders.
When I got home, I contacted the company and explained the situation to them and asked they not take anymore money out of my account and to refund all that was taken.instead, they insisted on giving me only half and offered me other products in exchange since I didn't contact them soon enough.
Again, I tried to explain why I was unable to contact them and they insisted they would not give me the full refund. They package was received and sent back, "Refused", but they claimed they never received it and that no refund would be given. Then they wanted me to prove I had cancer before any refund would be awarded. I told them that it was a violation of my HIPPA rights and that I should not have to prove my illness. I just wanted my full refund. I finally turned them into the BBB who suggested we meet half way. I told them I was not in agreement, but the company sent only half the refund.
I have been fighting with them since trying to get the rest of my money back, but they have turned deaf ears apon me and have blocked all phone calls and e-mails. I am still being told that they never received the package back therefore no refund, yet, they claim all returned packages are destroyed. My package was returned and they destroyed it.
I am still undergoing chemo and need every penny I can get to buy extra meds I must take while on this therapy. I should not have to prove my illness to them and they should not take advantage of people not ignore them the way they have done me and others like me.
