I ordered a 2-year subscription to Upscale magagazine sometime in January. I should have been suspicious when the two aspiring sales people asked if I had any snacks because they were hungry from walking door-to-door. Then they adjusted the price to deduct the process and handling charges. The female of the duo kept trying to divert my attention from the sale and work her way into my house. It was by all accounts a strange transaction. I started calling the company around April trying to follow-up on my magazine order. First number is disconnected and you are directed to another phone number. The other phone number is the HOME of an individual that can only be described as ghetto fabulous. After three calls to her and promises that her supervisor would be calling me back, I finally heard back from the same individual making a wonderful attempt to sound like someone else. She explained that it takes about 120 days to receive the first issue of the magazine. Hello? I orderd in January. I am calling you in April. 30 days x 4 months would be 120, right? No matter, she said that I should receive my first issue soon. It is now June and I call back. This ghetto princess of fabulosity now explains that I am calling the wrong company. I should be calling WORLDWIDE READERS, INC. Not worldwide readers services, inc. I explained to her that I had spoken to her a couple of months ago and she "followed-up" on my order. No matter, she now is affiliated with the "other company." I must now call Shannon, another member of her magesty's royal court. I call Shannon TWICE. I leave my name and requested information. No return call.
