I am a victim of boat title fraud by Jeff Hill who resided 4902 Lakeridge Dr. E, Lake Tapps 98391 WA. Phone number I have for Jeff Hill is 253-320-9477.
Back in January I have purchased a boat from Jeff Hill which was advertised on Craigs List. I have paid $3500 cash and $500 check, or $4,000 total. Jeff Hill gave me the title for the boat which was current and tabs on the boat showed expiration June.
Everything seemed well but when I went to DOL to register boat in my name I was told that Department of Social and Health Services has had the lien on the boat since summer of 2008 because Jeff Hill did not pay child support.
I have addressed this issue with Mr. Hill who has promised numerous times that he will pay money owed to DSHS and transfer the title in my name. Then he just stopped taking my calls or returning messages.
When selling the boat Mr. Hill knew well that it's owned by DSHS and the title is not valid but he chose to deceipt me.
I found Mr. Hill's child support case number at DSHS and talked to the case manager but she was unwilling to pursue this fraud case with Mr. Hill.
If anyone who was defrauded by Mr. Hill wants details of Mr. Hill's child support case I can assist, since this could be helpful in finding this person who has now disappeared after scamming many other people, as I have found out now.
