Cross-Border Sweepstakes Scam, Deluxe Exchange Bureau Tippton Solutions Tippton Whell of Fortune 21st Century Alliance

Rip off scam from Tippton Solutions / Deluxe Exchange Bureau. It starts off Congratulations! One behalf of Tippton Wheel of Fortune 21st Century Alliance with Super pages, we are please to announce and inform you that you are one of the declared lucky winnders of our sweepstakes bonanza give-away held on April 7. So far I haven't debunked them, but looking at other cross-border rip-off scams I can say that this sounds just like the rest of them.

They send you two checks, mine are from Wells Fargo, it has the correct number for the routing number and the bank address and phone number are correct. The checks look absolutely real and I used to work for a credit union. Tomorrow I am going to call Wells Fargo and let them know that companies, or people in Canada are using their name to rip people off.

I am sappose to call a lady named Victoria Lawson, well I already did and left a message for her to call me back. I called the number at the top of the page as well (Tippton Solutions Presumably) and the man told me when I asked him about the scam whether I had called the person named in the letter. He said he didn't know anything about a scam.

There is the signature red inked Note: Prizes not claimed before April 26 will be automatically deemed unclaimed & forwarded to our charity department for donation.

It also said that if I tried to cash the check without the bond that my prize would automatically be voided.

One thing I noticed when I called this Victoria Lawson, I got her answering machine. She sounds very professional but you can't make out her last name when she says it. And she says Deluxe Exchange Bureau at the beginning of her message and then says Deluxe Bond Bureau as she finishes her message.

Here are more addresses and phone numbers:
Deluxe Exchange Bureau
987 6 Ave Sw, Calgary, AB T2P 0V7
Dir Tel: 1 (403) 383 6783
Direct Fax: 1 (403) 383 5884

The telephone numbers on that one are wrong, the dir line is the fax and the fax is actually the direct line.

Tippton Solutions
2403 33 Avenue SW
Calgary, AB T2T 2A2
Direct tel: 1 (403) 667 6853
Direct Fax: 1 (403) 667 0262

The letter from Tippton Solutions is signed only Laura and the name underneath reads Laura Nadine (Award Dispatch Manager)

It looks like they are trying to explain how you were entered into the contest, they say either from Superpages dot com or from questionnaires that have been filled out by the user.

It also gives a 12 digit claim indentification number.

Anyway... If I find out more, I will reply to this report.
