I received a letter in the mail yesterday dated March 13. Along with a check in the amount of 4980.50 stating that my grant was approved by a random of candidates selected from Readers Digest and Publishers Clearing House. The grant is for the amount of 39,000.00 and if I was to pay 3150.00 in taxes that I would recieve the balance in a few days. Are you nuts, no I did not run out to cash the check, I went to the bank and the ran a verfication and did give me a small amount of cash stating that the check had a 5 day hold on it later on in the week the fraud department contacted me to let me know that I had been scammed What steps should I take to be redemmed
