I got the usual call from CMI saying they were gonna give me all these magazines and a diamond watch. They charged me $39.90 for the magazines per month. I called them I wanted the rest of it canceled after I found out about the scam. I argued with them for about 15 minutes about canceling the subscription.
After a while I think I got to the woman that was telling me it was against their policy to do that. She tried to cut my payment by 70% telling me if I paid $200 then they would send me the $200 worth of magazines and then it would be over. I kept saying NO I DON'T WANT ANY and that I could not afford them. She finally told me she would cancel the rest of the payments and they would suffer a 100% loss on my account. She also told me that I would receive the month worth of magazines that I was already charged for, then it would be all over. I also told them that opened a dispute with my bank with the $39.90 that they had already charged me.
You could try the same thing but it is a challenge. Hopefully they really canceled the rest of the payments and it is all over with. If they didn't... They will never hear the end of me.
