Received a letter and what looks like a valid check for $2980.10 against a grant that I am supposed to have been awarded for $39000. It says to call before cashing the check to get approval. This sounds just like the deal where they give me a check that will bounce while they in turn want a check from me for processing fees of $1950 before they skip on the rest of the grant. I called and left a message, but haven't heard back from them yet. The phone number is in Canada. Strange for a NY based Co. The check was drawn on a US Bank account using L-O Tempe Hotel Inc.
