I received a letter from Bargain Shoppers Express signed by Andrew Briant stating that they are conducting research to assist corporations in evaluating the customer service of their employees. The letter states that I am required to complete a training program that is fully paid. It also states in the letter that failure to contact their office upon receipt of the letter and check would result in automatic stop payment of the check. The letter included a breakdown of how the funds should be spent. The probational training fee is $400.00, Burger King - 12.00, Money Gram Transfer - $2100, Service charge by Money Gram $99.00, Western Union Transfer - $ Service Charge by Western Union - $99.00, Wal-Mart - $70.00.
I was suspicious of this company and called the number in the letter. I got the voice mail for Andrew Briant and there was no mention of the company name in the voice mail. I did not leave a message and did not cash the check. The envelope had a Canadian Postage Stamp.
