I came across this site, Changes for Women and thought that it would help me with the very nasty stages of perimenopause.
After various calls from the company I decided to try the product. I was assured/guaranteed that I would get a 30 day supply of Changes for Women, free of charge and that my credit card would only be charged a $1.00.
When the package arrived on 10/31/07 I had a 90 day supply along with a note stating call this number for return information. I tried the product for 2 weeks and perimenopause seemed to get worst.
I called the number included with the product and received a return authorization number, (getting that was like pulling teeth). I returned the product on 11/16/07 and thought that would be the end of it.
Low and behold, I began to get charges on my credit card. I found out that it was from Changes for Women, I called customer service, (which was a complete waste of time) and they promised to stop all billings, as of yet they have not.
I gave no authorization for recurrent billing, furthermore, I returned the product well before the 30 days.
I plan to:
1. File a report with the San Diego BBB.
2. File a fraud report with my states Attorney General.
I have:
1. Contacted the Vista, CA Chamber of Commerce and gave them the full details. Which they referred to the Vista, CA., District Attorney.
4. Filed a dispute with my Visa account.
I informed, Changes for Women of my intent to do so. I was assured that a supervisor would get in touch with me, (although they didn't have a name for the supervisor, nor a number for their billing department).
I have not been contacted by Changes for Women, or any of their representatives, so it is obvious that they realize that they are running a scam. If the Vista DA, and or my state Attorney General decides to pursue this, I will be willing to participate in any action which closes the doors on this fraudulent business.
