I took a job with Capital Advertising during a hard time in my life basically to get away from the area I was living in. I did no real research before I took the job. I simply assumed that since I had a bachelor's degree and that it was an "advertising" company that it would be good for me.
At first it wasn't so bad. I sold very little but everyone was so nice including Ian Ezyk, the owner, I figured I would stick with it. Shortly after I realized that I was making no money. After speaking with a good friend I came to terms that Ian Ezyk was running a scam.
I do not hold it against the entire Cause Marketing company because I do believe there are some good owners out there. But Ian promised promotions and money out the ass, and none of that came. I just didn't see people (other than Ian) profitting from the company. He told me lie after lie just so I would stay and hopefully make him some money. Well sorry ian but i did not! Finally I had the courage to leave and I learned so much from the experience. I would like to thank Ian for teaching me so many life lessons. I know now what a true slime ball is.
If you ever get a call from this company do not believe what they tell you. They will literally bring in ANYONE for an interview. Trust me I used to make some of the calls. And i'm ashamed that I did it. But I learned from it.
