I was solicited Fri. July 13 by a "college student" Chad Levar to buy a bookset to be donated to child cancer patients who are hospitalized. It would also help subsidize a trip to Europe where he would be in a study program.
I was shown a brochure of booksets (some very expensive). I agreed to purchase a half set for $24, and wrote a check. He also requested an address label that he could use to inform when the books were received, and also to thank me. My neighbor was also told the same story and also paid $24 for a half set.
