To those of you with this same dilemma as myself with this fraudulent company report report report. I had my bank do a stop payment and I also will close the account and re open another one. These people are scammers and need to be sued the pants off I am going to look at class action law suits against this company. This cannot be legal. Here is my story I was contacted several days ago by this company saying that I had won 2 free magazine subscriptions and a diamond watch and an entry into the sweepstakes.
They talked to me for awhile congratulating me then said that they asked for me to pay for 2 other ones I asked why couldnt I get just my 2 free subscriptions, and if I could cancel at anytime. They kept running circles and confusing me I kept saying I want to talk to my husband first he is at work I asked them for a number to contact them by they skirted around it again and kept pressing it. I understood it was 3.83 a month for the 2 and I said I guess. They then asked me for my front card number on debit card I was real nervous about it and he said it was to verify. He said are you nervous cause it is over the phone I said ya. He made me feel safe at giving it as I understood it was to verify not to be charged. I told them and asked them if I was going to be billed by credit card cause I dont want that. He said no and that to look at back of my card the 800 number was there to call no one could take payment off your card without permission. I gave him the front numbers for verification is what I thought not to be billed. Then he asked me for my 3 digit number on the back, again I was nervous and said that was my pin he said no thats your cvc I said I want to talk to my husband first and refused to give my pin he said ok and we hung up.
I kept getting lots of unknown calls and I didnt answer thinking it was them. I wanted to talk to hubby I never talked to any billing department I refused to answer unknown calls. I got some letters in the mail to fill out which I didnt and it said they was going to debit my acct so next time they called by unknown I answered and it was them. The billing guy was telling me about them and I said I got these papers in the mail about it explaining to him the misunderstanding he did not care I said I dont want that service I told him no sevral times and he refused it saying he was not there to talk about my acct he was billing. I kept saying no and that I didnt give permission for all that he said they had my card and he could lower payments again I told him I dont want it I didnt order it like this, he said well enjoy your subscription and hung up. I havent recieved a magazine yet or the dumb watch all I recived is papers asking me to fill out I will not be filling out those papers I do not want there service. The billing guy I talked to would not accept no for an answer and I told him sevral times I do not want it. I called them back 2 times on the number that was on the papers left 2 messages with my number telling them to call back and stressing I do not want this service. I looked them up and seen there are similar complaints about there billing. I do not remember any of the names of these scammers. I reported them to the BBB and also had my bank do stop payments just in case they try to withdrawl without my consent
I also will be closing my account as soon as I can do it. I also am going to fill out a form in Montana reporting them if you want call the Lolo Montana police department or a police department near there and report these criminals and see what else can be done on the other end. Just smack them everywhere you can and keep it up until they are shut down and made to pay millions back to the consumers they have scammed out of money. Which, this month, resolved all complaints brought to its attention by the BBB. Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to failure to respond to one or more complaints and or two or more otherwise unresolved complaints. However, the business has resolved most complaints presented to the bureau. Complaints mostly concerned billing. Go figure
