A well dressed man in a cream colored Lexus SUV with a cracked windshield approached me as I was entering a business on Rt. 130 South in Bordentown NJ on June 11 around 11Am. Speaking broken english he told me he was lost and trying to find his way back to the NJ Turnpike so he could catch a plane back to Italy. I told him I would drive my car and lead him to the turnpike. He said that I was so nice to him he was going to do me a favor by giving me several Armani leather jackets if i agreed to by an Armani suit that cost $2,700.00. I am not one who buys designer clothes but the jackets looked expensive and the package seemed like a good deal. He said that if he returned to italy with the jackets he would have to pay an exorbitant tax on the clothing. I led him to my home to get the money (my IRA contribution for 2007) then led him to the NJ Turnpike. I thought i was being rewarded for being a good samaritan but i was being ripped-off for being a fool! Beware of well dressed italians peddeling armani jackets.
