The Better Business Bureau did not help with a complaint my mother had filed against Suntrust Bank. Suntrust lied to the Better Business Bureau, and the Better Business Bureau put that the customer did not accept their good offer or work to resolve the complaint. Suntrust made it look like my mother did not accept their offer or work out anything with them.
Suntrust repossessed my mother's vehicle on 02/16, claiming my mother was 74 days past due. This was not true! The collections at Suntrust refuses to acknowledge that my mother had made payment arrangements, and they refuse to update their records or apply the payments my mother has made. Now Suntrust orders the vehicle to be repossessed. This is stealing. Businesses that lie always get caught in what they say, and they usually tell on themselves when they lie about customers!
Also, Suntrust is a member of the Better Business Bureau, which is the fox guarding the hen house, because the Better Business Bureau is protecting these bad businesses. I thought we consumers were supposed to be the ones protected, but it is the other way around these days! These bad businesses get all the protection, and they can lie, repossess people's vehicles when they want, and not update people's records.
This is a warning: stay away from Suntrust, or you will end up with no car because of their mistakes. Suntrust does not update their records. Suntrust will claim you did not make your payment even after you made it, like in my mother's case, and repossess your vehicle even after you made payment arrangements.
The Better Business Bureau "Administratively Closed" the complaint, saying Suntrust provided a specific credible response. These businesses have been getting away with lying about customers and making us look bad in front of the Better Business Bureau and the attorney general's office. The Better Business Bureau should be disbarred because all they are doing is taking money from businesses and not helping consumers or victims of bad businesses, or helping people not to become victims of Suntrust or any other bad business.
