Single Moms Treated Unfairly Ripoff

All I want to say is WORK/LIFE Balance my XXX! Fidelity Investments claims to be such a family oriented company. I can tell you that its a lie. Dont get me wrong, I've been with the company for more than 10 years up until last week, and I've had some great bosses. WATCH OUT! Not all are alike at Fidelity.

I was asked to work 12 hour days for a week with one days advance notice. For a single mom, that was simply not enough notice to find proper care for my son. I stayed as late as I could manage that week, which was apprently not enough because this situation was a factor in why I was let go from the company.

I've heard that employees of the company are coded in colors. Red, Yellow and Green. The divorced (considered to be unstable by the companies standards) are coded red. These are the at risk employees. I wish I could see what colormy file was coded... I assume red as I have been divorced twice and Im a single mom. Sounds really fair, doesn't it?

I never thought that after 10 years of service to the company I would be let go due to occurances in my personal life. My son means everything to me... He is my life. My job was something that allowed me to live my life... Now, I am left with nothing. No compensation for my years of service, nothing!
