Debbie Trammell (code #052) was going door to door selling magazine subscriptions. I paid her a check #6219 for $55.00 on invoice #303489 The magazine I purchased (Architecture and Design) was to be a Christmas gift to my son who started Architectural Design at Kansas State University this Fall
Since I haven't received anything, I called the number on the invoice sheet and the number has been disconnected. I then looked on the internet to check out the company and found that they are a low down, slick group of people swindling money from innocent people.
I have learned a simple lesson: don't buy anything from anyone going door to door unless they have some identification, live local, and are willing to leave something behind in the way of collateral that they would want to come back and pick up.
Fifty five dollars is not just pocket change. However, it was a cheap lesson. It could have been $550.00 or $55,000. My only satisfaction is knowing that God will make this right some day whether I see it or not. There is a good quote that says, "Some day the scales of justice will balance."
