Privacy Matters 123
Ripoff

Free Credit report was advertised on AOL screen on august 11. Upon clicking this site, I was asked for a credit card number to charge the $1.00 initial fee, which I complied.

Upon reach the AP9* Privacy Matters 123 site, and giving the pertinent information, name, etc to get the report, I was forwarded to a web page that stated the site was experiencing difficulties, so please call 877-993-6264, which I did for 7 days and could not be put through...

This A.M. I reached Kenia, code 45506 with the company which apologized for the mix up, but stated that I was charged $29.95 to my credit card, plus $1.00 and would be charged $29.95 each month hereafter, even though I did not get a credit report.

When I objected, she says that is the policy. She said that I could receive the due report by logging into billpass.com and entering my zip code and there I would be able to set up a pin number... Of course this is a lie too, when I logged in as she stated... There are several sites regarding free credit reports and when you get the 123 site, it ask for all of information all over again, which I am sure would lead to more charges for nothing...

This is a fraud and ripoff, and cannot believe that AOL would condone something like this... This is being reported to the national better business bureau, the police department and the news media in Memphis. I will not pay this charge and intend to contact the credit card that they used for this fraud to dispute this charge.
