I purchased the davidson ladder from walmart and 3 hours later i was in the emergency room due to a collapse of the new ladder, model number w-2212-06s. I took pictures of the ladder, and sent them to louisiville ladder co, and they claimed that their own engineers looked at the photos and claim it was a result of the accident, not the cause. However i can promise you this ladder collapsed. I would be very willing to take a lie detector test to prove it. I only weigh 150 and the ladder has a 225 lb weight limit. I was on the fourth rung when it bowed to the left and the leg bent. My left leg then slipped into the ladder and when i fell the limit and snagged in the ladder the rt leg also bent alittle. We both then went over backwards and to the right. After the crash i had to get my leg out, and the ladder off of me, to go to the emergency room. Ive since had knee surgery for torn cartlidge and have a torn calve muscle. And as stated they of course deny any fault but did offer a refund of the ladder. Right, no way even if i get nothing this needs to be reported. I might add i worked for asplundh 9 years and ended up being a safety supervisor with an outstanding record, i know how to properly inspect and set up a ladde
