I am starting this thread in order to see what the people of our great country think about the Bush Administration's abilities to run this country the way it should be; for the people and by the people. I am neither a Republican or a Democrat, and have views on both sides of the fence depending upon the discussion. What I don't want to start here is a volley of name calling and argumentative postings. What I would like to see is good clean discussion about the issues and how they personnaly effect all of us. Regardless of what some people say, it is very possible to have a political discussion without mudslinging. We, the people of the United States of America, should be the ones coming together and deciding where this country needs to go.
I am going to start the discussion with two issues that have been coming to the surface quite a bit lately on Public Television news shows, the Newwork News, and most all other news channels both on television and the radio... Wire Tapping and The Illegal Alien issue.
What are your views on what the limitations of the Government's ability to tap into our lives should be; where should the lines be drawn, and how should they be drawn? What are your views on the current debate over Illegal Immigration, and how do you think the situation we are currently in should be handled.
