I was with this company for 6 months
After going through 4 fleet managers I finally got a non incompetant that could get me more than 2500 miles a week
I had been warned about being let go because i fired on the 4th fleet manager on the qualcom and called her incompetant
For the next 3 months I got good miles but had to follow up every paycheck because i was underpayed or not completely paid
I had done katrina relief in sept and it took till dec 19 for me to get fully paid for my hours on duty I waited 3 months for that 100 bucks
In feb they gave me a new fleet manager
It was same old crud 2000 miles a week and a run from 27 feb was not paid its layover pay nor its detention pay
After 3 weeks I did not care
I was tired of not getting paid in a timely manner and the fleet managers excuse that its so busy
It was feb thats the 2nd slowest month in trucking and march is slow at the beginning of the month
This excuse is on the qualcom record
I got angry and called the night fleet manager incompetant and lazy
Knowing that i would get fired
I did not care
They owed me money for 4 weeks now
I was terminated on 3/20/06
My last pay came on 3/27
It was short 200 miles of pay 66 bucks and the 66 owed now for 4 week was not there either
I notified dale steward the fleet supervisor of the under payment on 3/28
He had plenty of time to get the adjustments in by the 3/31 paycheck
I called payroll on 3/30 and they said I had no final check coming
I called stacy powell the supervisor of all the x d division and told him exactly how I felt about the unprofessional way I had not been payed and that I was going public and hung up
He had the gall to call me back at home
Call me a pu*y and threaten me
He also stated that since I didnt work for them anymore my payroll problem was not his problem anymore even though the fleet manager is responsible for giving the accurate info to payroll dept and he is the supervisor above dale steward who is the supervisor for my ex fleet manager mike
Do I have a bad faith business practice case here as these trucking companies know that their state labor boards will not come after them because I worked in all 48 states and I don't live in their state
My runs are given to me by satcom directly in the truck and I turn my paperwork in by tripak service at the nearest truckstop to the delivery location and therefore there is no state jurisdiction to sue the company
Thank you for your time
