Star communications contacted me saying that if I gave them $4.95 they would send me a $500 shopping spree to any department store in the U.S. After that they told me of three diffrent services they offered and said that I had a 10 day free trial period on them and that I would be charged after that time.
They originally contacted me on the 26th of december and on the 30th of december I called to cancel the three services so I didn't get charged. The company said that it was cancelled and that would be all. The same day, they took out three different charges on my account, one for $119.90 and the other two for $4.95 and that was all on the 30th of december.
I called star communications as soon as I found out about this and they told me that they would send me a check in the mail. I have not received a check or the $500 shopping spree. My bank says the only thing I can do is close my account out. I have researched this issue and found that many people have had the same problem that I had and i would like to see if it can be resolved before someone else gets hit with this scam. Thank you
