Unlawful, fraudulent, dishonest ripoff

In July I had started attending college. I was looking for grants that could pay for it.
I got a phone call from First American Benefits Group in August stating that the government had grants that I would be eligible for. All I had to do was pay the $299.00 fee and they would do all of the leg work for me. Of course, I gave them my account information after speaking with Andrea Reeves (supervisor of customer service).

I kept in contact with Andrea Reeves and another person who calls herself Rose (& Gina) to find out when they were going to send me my packet of applications to fill out. They withdrew the money from my account on Oct. 31st but due to the hurricanes back east (they said their processing center to send the packets was located in Florida) it would take another 7-10 business day.
I still hadn't received my packet and was tired of the run around so I asked for a refund. First American said that they had a 3rd party that completed the debit transactions for them and I would have to call them.
I spoke with the 3rd party (Merchant Services) that day and they refunded my $299.00 on Dec. 6th. But on Dec. 2nd, another 2 debits for $299.00 came out of my account in the form of a paper draft checks. First American had submitted 2 checks on my behalf and received and $598.00 from my account.

My bank was unable to do anything about it and told me to go back to First American and try to get my money back that way. It's been a nightmare since.
On top of all this, I found out that last Nov., they tried to debit my account twice again but I didn't have the funds so I got charged NSF fees.

I spoke with Andrea Reeves again and she sent me an e-mail stating that the money shouldn't have been taken from my account so the bank refunded my NSF fees. Andrea Reeves has since left the company and, therefore, is no longer able to help me.

So here I am, without a product (that I no longer want anyway) and even worse, withough $598.00

I am currently working with my Aunt who works with an attorney that deals in these sort of matters. She has been in contact with Rose (aka Gina) to get my money refunded. Rose says that they are refunding me but I have yet to see that happen.

I also managed to obtain the name of her supervisor, Mike Williams, but I doubt that that's his real name too. I've also attempted to get their physical address and/or fax number but have had no such luck.
This group claims to be honest and hardworking. I admit that they are working hard, to get their payday from the rest of the working world but they are far from honest.
