I am writing you for a retired Mexican couple that was taking advantage of by a company named Ceragem Portland corp.in Portland Oregon That sells message beds that claim it cures cancer and arthritis and many other outrages claims. I went with them to a seminar type appointment because they needed someone to take them there, and I was very skeptical of the claims. I noticed that there was only Hispanics there and I was the only English speaking person there. I realized right away that this was targeted at Hispanics because I being Hispanic know how gullible Hispanics can be sometimes. And as I listened to there presentation, I was not buying any of it for a moment. But was unable to detour them from buying two of these beds the cost was 2400.00 dollars each. They used the bed and it has not helped them in anyway and they are no longer using the message beds.
I have now discovered that the state of Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has halted the unlawful marketing and sales of thermal massage beds sold in Texas that a company and its franchises deceptively claimed would treat or cure cancer and a range of other serious ailments and diseases. Texas is the first state to take legal action against the company for its deceptive marketing practices.
And as I suspected they are mostly Hispanics that are the victims.
These businesses are operating in Oregon as well as other states and are continuing to prey on consumers.
