This is a Award/Response Notification that I received in the post. It says my name has been selected in this award program (National Award Program #061, Series Q) and I have received a reigstration number.
What confuses me is that an elegant gold tone star is being offered to purchase. The letter says I have to send the money together with my form 174G otherwise I cannot be entered for the sweepstakes draw, but on the official rules it says no purchase necessary.
This is confusing and don't trust it.
Seems this is a scam that has now reached South Africa.
