I recently receieved an e-mail from Mr. [email protected] indicating that he had seen my resume online and wanted to contact me about a job opportunity.
He went on to explain that he was part of Torchmark Corporation, a Top Forbes 400 company and were looking to hire new applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds.
I then received another e-mail the following day providing me with the date, time, and location of the Job Fair. Because I wanted to know a little information about this company, I looked them up on the internet and I came across several other people who have experienced this same situation.
Because of the negative comments reported by others, I thought that it was only proper to at least add my experience to the list. My schedueled interview is tomorrow, but because of what I have read thus far I probably will not show up.
The information provided through Rip-Off has played a valuable role in my decision not to take this "less-than-upfront" opportunity. I have been spared from possibly being a victim to a well-organized and sophisticated scam.
