My husband and I also fell victim to these people. We attended a siminar about a great business opportunity to sell prepaid phone cards. We were invited back for the second level of the siminar, which they made sound like we had been hand selected for the job. We bought in at $12,500, which was the lowest we could buy in for.
We finally recieved our phone cards, but then had a baby, so we did not get to really do any contacting of businesses to place phone cards with.By the time we could devote some time to it, the cards weren't working, and my husband had gotten an email from the company stating that the service provider was not honoring the cards, and that they were filing a class action law suit against the phone carrier on behalf of all their clients (us). We would periodically get an email, then all communication stopped. We tried to contact them, but surprise, surprise they were nowhere to be found.
We contacted our credit card company to see if they could do anything for us, but since so much time had lapsed (greater than 6 months) they probably would not be able to get our money back. These people need to be stopped. If they are out there with a differen name, we need to find them and put an end to these tactics. We lost a relatively small ammount of money compared to others, but it still hurts and makes our lives a bit more difficult
