The exact same story as reported here by another anonymous lady happened to me on the same day. I was contacted by phone and told I had won 2nd Prize ($500,000) in Publisher Clearing House's sister company, Consumers Clearing House. They told me to confirm with the Federal Gaming and Trade Commission and gave me the phone number, which I did not call as it had been provided by them! They also transferred me to an "attorney" with Chase Hamilton and Associates and she may have been the one who told me to contact the phone number she provided for the Federal Gaming and Trade Commission to see if my name was listed as 2nd Prize Winner. I believe these same people contacted me months ago and I hung up on them after I told them I hadn't entered any such contest. This time, I again told them I had not entered the contest, and they informed me I had entered it last November. These people called me numerous times and were quite persistent. They also told me they had a way to cut the taxes by 65%. Every detail in the previous complaint was precisely what I experienced. It has been over a month since I was first contacted. These people were unable to extort any money from me, and I am so grateful for this forum, and for the lady who reported her identical-to-the-last-detail experience. I hope this information is beneficial, and that the ones perpetuating this scam are stopped. Thank you!
