Signed up for Christian Mingle dating site in January for 6 months. I gave Christian Mingle my credit card information and authorization to make a one time withdrawal of my checking account in the amount of 83.74.
I used the website for a few months and then discovered my pictures have been deleted and became frustrated with the site anyway and stopped using it. I only signed on to look at e-mails. If someone sent me a message I would tell them I have to send a picture to an alternate address outside the site because my pictures had been deleted. The website simply had issues and the customer service and usage was cumbersome.
Furthermore, a few months later i discovered the site did not offer the services I wanted or desired anyway so I would only log in once in a while to look at e-mails or smiles another user may send to me.
I just wanted my 6 month membership to run out in July delete my profile, and not use the website any longer.
On July 15th my checking account had $83.74 withdrawn from it by ChristianMingle.com, I did not give them authorization to withdraw, take, or steal my money. I immediately contacted them by email from the website to have my checking account reimbursed. And they responded, "absolutely no refunds". They went on to indicate that i will be forced to use their site, even though the product they have has no use for me. I gave them adequate warning that I do not want their product but ChristianMingle.com is forcing me to purchase a product that I do not want and that is no use to me.
ChristianMingle.com is violating consumer protection laws.
Hopefully I will get reimbursement of my checking account in the amount of $83.74.
Not sure where the company is located I filed one complaint in California https://www.dca.ca. Gov/webapps/complainthelp/online_complaint.php and another in Utah https://www.dca.ca. Gov/webapps/complainthelp/online_complaint.php
