My computer's calendar thing is broken, but it happened 6/28.
She contacted me through email to hire me as a virtual assistant. I've gotten warnings from friends and family so I deposited check in an account that was empty and did not touch it until I could be sure that it was a good check. I got a call this morning from my bank telling me it was a forged check and they reported it to the Secret Service. Luckily I am not being held responsible for it as I informed them ahead of time that I had a new client I was unsure of. So, though I did not loose any money, I am glad to report her.
The scam is that she sends a check for $1950 and the assistant is to keep $400 out as a salary and money gram the rest to a specific address.
