I had a very pushy salesman come to my house to measure up for a new kitchen. When it came to the contract, he said that he wanted a cheque made payable to HIM in the sum of £100.00. This is NOT in the terms of the contract! I was not at all happy and decided to cancel the whole thing within the 'cooling off' period. I could not understand why this firm does not take a bankers card upon delivery of a kitchen, it has to be a bankers draft or cash! Who pays cash for something over £1,000.00? This rang alarm bells with me immediately.
May I suggest that if anyone is thinking about buying a kitchen from this firm, you read the small print before signing anything. This is paramount, do not be pressured by some confident pushy salesman!
