Consumer Report

Art Silenas called me totally unsolicited by me. I was told that I had been selected to be an agent of AMF Marketing, and that I would earn one or two thousand dollars per month. They promised me a counseling call to get me started. They process credit cards, supposedly, with a low fee per card, and ask you to contact businesses of all sizes. Their original website said that they were a web design company. Now they say that they just process credit cards.

At some point, they changed their name and their telephone number. Now they claim to be W.J. Merchantfunding.com but I have not been able to pull this site up with any browser or search engine.

On May 21, I tried calling them, but just got an answering machine, and no response.

On May 23 I emailed them, telling them that I thought this was nothing more than a scam and a fly-by-night operation and a bunch of hype. This was based on the fact that they made me promises, but failed to keep them.

Told them that I had been promised a counseling call to get me started, but had received none. I also said that I had tried calling them at 1-888-268-9191 and got only an answering machine.

I also said that if I received no counseling call by May 28 that I was going to report them to the BBB, the attorney general's office, and the FCC.

On May 23, the same date that I emailed them, they called, again promising me a conference call on Memorial Day. Of course, that never happened. Nor did they call the following day.

By 6-3 the telephone number had changed to 8550498-9255. When I called that number, the operator said, "This number is temporarily unavailable."

On 6-20 a person called me from the office. He said that he was my account manager.

Today. On 6-21 a man who said his name was Nathan and that my account had been turned over to him, called me. When I told him that their website did not have a physical address, he just gave the evasive answer, "I'll look into it." Then he turned me over to Chris, who was supposed to be over him. But he asked me to do several screwy things, such as measure my head to determine my credit rating, and to measure from the top of my eyelashes to the tip of my tongue and to put salt on my hand.

I had already made up my mind that they were never going to call, so scheduled several other things to
do, such as engaging in an exercise group, and enrolling in the balance program at a nearby hospital, because of the fact that my risk of falling is quite great.

I did try contacting the BBB. They told me that they could do nothing without a physical address.
It was the same with the attorney general's office and the FCC. The FCC said only that they would take the information, but that they could promise me nothing.

Although they sent me, on May 16, what was supposed to be my bak office website, I do not know how to log into it. The website address does not work either. Which is http://ng6486. Amfmarketllc.com

Sincerely,

Nancy L. Goodman
