She would present to me a catastrophe that had befallen her and that she needed money immediately in order to keep herself and her kids safe. When I told her that I couldn't afford it and I needed to get the money back, she came up with a story about how she was getting money from one source or another and I would be paid back in xx days. Each and every instance, that promised day passed, I would get nothing back, and I would need to figure out how to make the cash flow work.
I really think a lot of her kids, and I always felt that I needed to "come through" to make sure that her kids were taken care of. I was an idiot, yes, but she is certainly a con artist and deserves to pay for the theft she has committed against me under false pretenses.
