I have a similar situation like others have described. I joined their site and my debit card was charged 39.95, even though it was suppose to be free and my card was only suppose to be for age verification. I had to use Google to find out how to cancel my membership. I eventually went to http://www.csmembers.com/index.php? Pg=manage and was able to live chat with a customer service rep. Named Marco. Here's what he told me...

The transaction you are seeing is not a charge. It is only a pre-authorization or a temporary hold. Upon cancellation, your bank will automatically release it back to you after a pre-determined amount of time set by them. Please contact your bank regarding their pre-authorization policy.
Marco: Canceling the trial subscription automatically releases the pre-authorization on our side. But it usually takes 2 to 10 banking days for your Bank or Credit Card Company to release the pre-authorization amount. For further information about pre-authorization, please contact your Financial Institution

I have my fingers crossed that within the next few days I'll have my 40.00 back.
