We traveled from saskatchewan to deerlake nfld, my father in law passed away, we had to stay a night in toronto, and go back to the airport in the morning, there is a reason im saying this, on the 3rd of may we arrived at the airport at midnight for our flight home at 5,30, at 4,00 we went to the get our boarding pass, the agent handed us our pass, and took our id, s our drivers license, she looked at me and said, very rudely and loud, ;you cant go on the plane, your license has expired; i didnt realize that, and told her, she said ;you cant go; and snatched the pass from me, I was so upset, i told her i used it to get there, at saskatchewan and toronto, and im in the system so should be able to use it to go home, she looked at me and said NO; WE ASKED HER WHAT TO DO, SHE TOLD US SHE DONT KNOW, i was a total miss, by now, crying and shaking, it had been a hard week, two funerals, and my first time home after my dad died, and many times we asked her for numbers of who was in charge she told us there was no one, we spent hours there trying to get help, we were just lost, had no idea what to do, we had to rent a car and try to find someone to help us, we missed our flight, extra cost to us, rent a car, more cost, meals, more, gas more, my cell phone bill was huge, because of the many phone calls trying to get help, it took us all day, and another night before we got on the plane, and it was not anyone from aircanada or the agent that helped us, we were so stressed by the time we got home, that i ended up getting sick, and had to spend a night in the hospital, it was the worst, time ever, there should have been someone to help us, im holding the deerlake airport and aircanada responsible, it was their agent that was rude, unhelpful, and non careing, i will be letting this be known, i dont want to see this happen to anyone else, patricia spence
