I paid Fawcett Hospital for an outpatient procedure $4,500 on 3/4. They would not perform the surgery until my health insurance deductible was met, so when the EOB (insurance explanation of benefits) arrived, it showed that Fawcett overcharged me and the surgery should have been only $3,300. Therefore, they collected $1,200 too much from me. Now over 60 days later I am still fighing with Fawcett billing dept. To refund my overpayment. They keep giving me excuses and telling me the issue will go to a supervisor to resolve, but nothing is happening to resolve it.
They keep promising a refund on certain date and it never happens. I need this refund to pay the rest of the doctors and providers that performed services on that date. I beleive Fawcett is being unreasonable by keeping my money for an unreasonale amount of time.
