I received 2 gift cards from Applebees for Christmas.
I went to dinner in Orlando, FL and when I presented them they told me they were expired. I looked at the dates and sure enough, the cards were only good for 9 weeks. What a ripoff. I told my friend about it and she was shocked. They don't tell the buyer that it is just a big money grab that most folks will never have the time to take advantage.By the way, both cards were only 2 weeks out of date, so it is not like I waited a long time to use them.
I sent them a complaint and here is there blow off response...
"Thank you for your recent feedback. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with our Bonus Card promotion. We will share your comments regarding the expiration date with our Gift Card Team for consideration in future promotions.
Thank you again for your feedback. If you have any further questions then you can reach us by calling 888-59-APPLE (888-592-7753) between 7:00 A.M. And 7:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, central time.

You have to love that one..."The Gift Card Team"...
I guess that is synonymous with the "Ripoff Marketing Group" or as I have called them for years "Marketing Slugs" who will go to no ends to capture folks hard earned money and stuff it into their pockets. And hey, Future Promotions... When did a gift card turn into a promotion. I thought it was income and easy money where I sit.
Disgusted and will never go to Applebees again...
