Cash price or credit

I pulled into exxon to get gas. There was 2 prices. Cash 3.59 or credit 3.65. So i used my debit card with pin #. But the pump would not convert to cash price. I told the attendant the pump would not change to cash price. The attendant told me that a debit card is a credit card not cash. Well every place i have ever shopped debit and cash were the same, except for this store. I will not shop at this Exxon ever again
