I was contacted by Rick James through Linkdin as he looked at my resume, for the position of Customer Support Assistant to work from home. The job was as follows:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Collecting and providing information about companies in your state (City) for further analysis and investigation of trading markets by our company analysts (I'll let you know which type of companies you need to collect information after our analysts will accept the final decision).
2. Receive payments from our customers* in your area (The payment from our customers for services provided under the contract. Cause we work all over the world, it`s much easier for the customers to transfer money to our managers who are in the same state/region. You'll receive transfers from $ 1,000 to $9,000. An average of 2-3 transfers a week.)
3. Create reports for each transaction.
4. Receiving and processing of correspondence and parcels.
5. Follow the instructions from Personal Manager.
* All customers pass the verification control, we care of yours security.

As you can see, even the spelling for all the documents I received was very poor.

I received no overview or orientaion about what to expect or how it would all go. I was sent the employment contract to fill out and then my first assignment (as they call it) was sent and I was told to do it and have it back within two days. Rick would be available to answer questions. Well it was simply verifying website addys and getting their physical mailing address/contact information.

I received a second assignment similar to the first. The third one gets interesting. I was sent an email money transfer, told to accept it, keep 3% and have the rest cashed out and put into a money order and he'd give me the address to send it to.

I felt pressured to do this, so I did but felt very uncomfortable and told Rick I would not do this anymore and that I quit. I then explained that I live 20 mins away from the nearest bank and had no vehicle at home to get there, he freaked. I said I wanted payment for my wages or he'd not get the money back. He told me that "things would get much worse for me" if I did that.

I however, am not that kind of a person, so I kept the 3% (which is still in my locked bank account) and sent the rest in two email transfers. My bank froze them and my account until I called them. Then either Rick or someone tried to access my account again and my bank froze my account for the second time. But they had all the info about what went on so now my account is permanmently locked and I'm sure they are pursuing this through their channels.

I kept all emails, work assignments and yahoo chats. I also have confirmations from the 15 other job sites I am registered on, logging this very complaint. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and am filing with my local police about this issue.

I have not received my wages as promised, 55.5hrs @$15/hr, I have bank fees for the transfer in and the two out, as well as fees now to close my account and open another one elsewhere. I still have the 3% that was to be my commission for this particular job but that too will be turned over to the police.

This is not a bogus complaint. I have all the documentation to prove it and have many times over as I've filed complaint after complaint after complaint.
