I received a letter from a company by the name of California Business Renewal Bureau asking for $175 to file the Statement of Information with the California Secretary of State. I read over the "terms" and it all seemed quite out of place because I had already filed the Statement of Information 7 months ago.
I researched the company and realized it is a scam! Do not fall for it or pay the fee. The P.O. Box location gave it away for me because the Secretary of State office is located in Sacramento, not Los Angeles. Be careful because the letters they are sending out look pretty close to perfect!
